Death's Shadow

Wed Feb 27, 2008, 4:43 PM
Do not stand at my grave and forever weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and forever cry.
I am not there. I did not die.

Unfortunately, I didn't write that... It was a poem on my friend's photo blog that I liked very much...

I think this was written by an unknown soldier.

Life is not measured by the breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Ahhh, this is one of the most beautiful poems I have ever heard/read.
I would love it to be read at my funeral, morbid as that sounds :)

I'll live in a land of beautiful, colourful, nothingness; where everythings is sedated and I will not bother you anymore

As I dive into the Pacific I flood the shorelines
And I exhale, causing the oceans endless waves.
